Trex RainEscape Drainage System
The Trex RainEscape drainage system sits above the joists and under the deck boards, catching water in troughs and running it out through downspouts, so the space below stays dry and usable.
It goes in before the decking does. Trex states plainly that existing deck boards have to come off first, so this is a new build or a tear-off decision rather than a weekend retrofit. Retailers who call it retrofit-friendly are wrong.
Troughs, downspouts, tape and flashing are stocked and sold separately, so build the parts list off your bay count.
