Trex Fascia Screws
Trex fascia screws are a different fastener from the ones on the deck surface, and swapping them is the most common mistake on this part of the job.
Why they differ. Fascia is thin trim at 0.56" and it expands and contracts across its length far more than a deck board does. The fascia system drills an oversized hole so the board hangs off the screw and can move, instead of being pinned and pushing against the fastener until something cracks.
Length is 1-3/4", and keep fasteners 1" from the board ends and 1" from the top and bottom of the rim joist. Match the plug colour to your Trex boards. Call (815) 439-3325.
