Deck Lighting
Deck lighting does two jobs. It keeps stairs and edges safe after dark, and it roughly doubles the hours you actually use the deck. Everything stocked here runs on 12V DC low voltage, so the fixture side of the job involves no line-voltage wiring.
There are four places light goes on a deck: on or under the rail, on top of the posts, flush into the deck surface, and into the stair risers. Most builds use two of the four. If you are only doing one, do the stairs.
