Trex Post Sleeves
Trex post sleeves are cosmetic covers, not structure. The load is carried by a pressure-treated 4x4 underneath, which Trex does not supply and which has to be there first.
The part everyone gets wrong: the 6x6 sleeve also fits over a 4x4 post. It is a heavier look, not a heavier post, and you do not need 6x6 framing to use one.
