Screws & fasteners for a composite deck are decided by the board you already bought, not the other way round. Grooved edge boards take hidden clips that sit in the groove and leave nothing visible on the surface. Square edge and solid core boards get face screwed, then capped with a colour-matched plug.
How many you need. Composite calls for two screws per joist, and joists usually run 16" on centre. That works out at roughly 350 screws per 100 square feet of deck. Add 10% and round up to the next pack.
