Acrylic Adhesive Flashing Tape by G-Tape

What's in the Box

What Actually Makes This Tape Different

Let's start with installation, because that's where most flashing tapes either win or lose you. G-Tape tears by hand - cleanly, not in jagged strips. You don't need scissors, you don't need a knife. Didn't line it up right? Pull it back up and try again. It won't leave gummy residue behind or ruin the surface.

After about 24 hours, though, that bond locks in permanently. So you've got a window to get things right, and then it's not going anywhere.

It also doesn't stick to itself on the roll. If you've ever wrestled with tape that folds over and becomes instant garbage, you'll appreciate that.

Temperature-wise, it handles everything from -40°F up to 200°F. Chemical exposure won't break it down either. And it'll bond to wood, metal, plastic, glass - pretty much whatever your substructure throws at it.

Why Bother?

Here's the honest math: replacing rotted joists costs a lot more than a roll of tape. Moisture damage is slow and invisible until suddenly it isn't. Taping your framing during the initial build takes maybe an extra hour and saves you from a much uglier conversation with a contractor five years later.
